Very fast on a 241 Triumph

Only 3 days in and Tyler from Lowbrow Customs and his bike Double Vision are having a Speedweek people dream of

That is the smile of a man who backed up a 136.073 mph qualifying run with  145.009 mph to set a new record of 140.21 mph (up from the previous 128 and then ....
Photo: I got to sit in the Gyronaut X-1 and then Bob Leppan came to impound and checked out my dual engine Triumph and talked shop. A great day. - Tyler #speedweek #bonneville2013 #redlinersracing
He gets to sit in the Gyronaut X-1 & shoots the breeze with Bob Leppan ...
.. then his third run earns him a class C license and another night in impound with a 151.4 mph run

Photo: Tyler checking his timing slip, 151.4mph! This gets him his class C license and sends us back to impound! #redliners #bonneville2013 #speedweek

@ Hipsville on a Triumph. Xtra

A couple of other Triumphs spotted at the Hipsville  Party Weekend. No background on these,I think I spent too much time drinking and not much on research, well it said it in the name " Party Weekend" so I did!!

Nice rigid Bobber, nothing fancy but all there and as they say "lots of patina"

A proper road warrior,I do believe these guys came from Bristol, Gavin said something about being in a band and liking a  Party!!
Here are it's companions for the trip.

A Harley and a very tidy Velocette
Yes please,I like this a lot!!

@Hipsville on a Triumph

Tim O'Regan came to the Hipsville Party Weekend on his rather nice T140 based ride.
He's parked in front of Martin's Model A Ford Roadster made up of original 30's & 40's parts & powered by a '59 V8 283ci Corvette motor and Myia's car in the background (details to follow, hopefully when she is back from the
GOW! speed hill climb)

Tim's bike defies being put into a category, to quote Tim on asking him "one of the many things I love about my bike is that it's impossible to categorise, which leaves many folks scratching their heads. If you must give it a name, call it Tim's Triumph." I'm not going to argue.
It's a handmade frame, the hardtail is made from Volvo Panhard rods, the front end and caliper are from a VFR800,the wheels 16" Harley, the tank again in Tim's own words a"gloriously unfashionable Mustang"
Tim got the Bike a year ago from a collection in Portugal where it had been unused since being built in the 90's,A bit of fettling,a new Biltwell seat from Sumo at
Vintage Chop.com and Tim has corrected this situation as shown below

Changes in the pipeline include de-slabing the yokes(and there is a whole lot of slab going on it, has to be said!),a vertical oilbag to avoid the chain slap chewing the present one  & so that the chainguard can be dispensed with.( I believe I just put the FMW vertical Mooneye on his shopping list!)
All in all a nice long & low bike that according to Tim is " a lot easier to ride than it looks"
(Pics lifted from Martin's FB as was a rubbish reporter and took too few pics! Cheers Martin)
