Tim O'Regan came to the Hipsville Party Weekend on his rather nice T140 based ride. He's parked in front of Martin's Model A Ford Roadster made up of original 30's & 40's parts & powered by a '59 V8 283ci Corvette motor and Myia's car in the background (details to follow, hopefully when she is back from the GOW! speed hill climb) |
It's a handmade frame, the hardtail is made from Volvo Panhard rods, the front end and caliper are from a VFR800,the wheels 16" Harley, the tank again in Tim's own words a"gloriously unfashionable Mustang"
Tim got the Bike a year ago from a collection in Portugal where it had been unused since being built in the 90's,A bit of fettling,a new Biltwell seat from Sumo at
Vintage Chop.com and Tim has corrected this situation as shown below
Changes in the pipeline include de-slabing the yokes(and there is a whole lot of slab going on it, has to be said!),a vertical oilbag to avoid the chain slap chewing the present one & so that the chainguard can be dispensed with.( I believe I just put the FMW vertical Mooneye on his shopping list!)
All in all a nice long & low bike that according to Tim is " a lot easier to ride than it looks"
(Pics lifted from Martin's FB as was a rubbish reporter and took too few pics! Cheers Martin)
