SKULLS FOR YOUR SCOOT

Some Skull parts for your Bike, but do you really need it?

It's an air filter, yours for 660 euros! Looks well made but it would want to be at that price!!
And you might as well have a laugh and make it 666 !!

poignee d accelerateur tete de mort throttle...
The same guy is offering  this selection of headlight, shift knob and grips
I like a skull  and skull related objects as I have shown with previous posts. But I think one needs to know when to stop, particularly when it comes to bike accessories !!!

Update: you have to laugh! Someone has actually got a patent on the air filter housing ,check it out

ATOMIC COFFEE TIME

Nothing to do with motorbikes but I got a great gift from a friend to say thank you for some work I did.
It is metal and shiny and above all an astounding piece of design from way back
And as another friend rightly pointed out I love it because basically it's a steam engine.
A steam engine that makes coffee, that's what I really love!!
Find out more of the history of this classic machine
www.Atomiccoffeemachine.com

PS Thank you Judy for the gift

LONGSUE- this came in the post 2

I did mention I was looking at a back end for Longsue.
Well I now have the makings of a rolling chassis as the front wheel has been joined by a back one!
It's got the scabbiest tyre that should go straight in the bin but it will do for wheeling around the garage!
The brake plate is a bit battered but that's not a problem as it is being replaced

by one of these beauties ,CNC'd 6061 aluminium with SS hardware brake plates ,that hopefully will be winging it's way to me from Seven Sins Choppers in sunny Long Beach, Ca.
Next pay cheque will see an order for head bearings, some chain adjusters and wheel nuts and hey presto one rolling chassis!

Skull piston carving part 4

Dr Benway over on the JJ posted this skull piston offering on The Friday art show thread

Cheers to Dr Benway for letting me post it here and share the fruit of his labour. Here is explaination of his technique :
" Panhead piston built up with TIG.
                 Drill big holes.
                 Finish with round files,sanding drum,whatever you've got!"
What you've got is another fine example of carved skull piston art

LONGSUE- this came in the post

Put a bid on this never thinking I'd win.I was out and very surprised when the the message came up on my phone that I had the winning bid. This will go with the forks I've already got to make the front end for Longsue.Needs a bit of TLC but i reckon it will clean up an be very useable
Turned out I'd bought it from Steve Stockers so got to chat with him which was cool. Flattered to find out that he follows this blog

I've got my eye on a rear end set up which would sort out the rolling chassis

Another update

I posted a picture of this bike on my post about model kits, at the time I had no info. As it turns out it comes via Pete Stansfield of Eat the Rich Fame. Thanks to the ever informative Pipeburn for the new info

Last year he came across this drag bike frame for sale on eBay and knew he had to purchase it.
"I bought the frame for £170 and the rear slick for £10".
What a bargain!!

THIS WEEK I HAVE MAINLY BEEN.....

LOOKING AT MODELS AND KITS OF TRIUMPH MACHINES, REVELL SEEM TO HAVE DONE A GOOD LINE

I PARTICULARLY LIKE THIS ONE

Nice Triumph drag bike by Jack Logan
Jack Logan is credited with this model, nice one mate

Posted Image
Ratrod posted his on the Model Cars Mag forum
TWO MODELER'S VERSIONS. JUST LIKE THE REAL THING  START WITH THE SAME  AND LET THE  IMAGINATION FLOW

AND THEN I THOUGHT WHAT MIGHT BE THE INSPIRATION?

ignore the girders it's close
Both  Nostalgia on Wheels & Show & Go have featured Mickey Hall's bike
Both great sources of information on all sorts of bike related stuff!

 Not quite but close

SEEK AND THY SHALL FIND

in this case  on the Jockey Journal ,an apparently bottomless source of knowledge and information!
Boots Bleechler's  ( great name!!) late 50's low 10's 126.37mph triumph the inspiration for the kit
