LONGSUE- this came in the post
Put a bid on this never thinking I'd win.I was out and very surprised when the the message came up on my phone that I had the winning bid. This will go with the forks I've already got to make the front end for Longsue.Needs a bit of TLC but i reckon it will clean up an be very useable
Turned out I'd bought it from Steve Stockers so got to chat with him which was cool. Flattered to find out that he follows this blog
I've got my eye on a rear end set up which would sort out the rolling chassis |

Another update
I posted a picture of this bike on my post about model kits, at the time I had no info. As it turns out it comes via Pete Stansfield of Eat the Rich Fame. Thanks to the ever informative Pipeburn for the new info |
Last year he came across this drag bike frame for sale on eBay and knew he had to purchase it. "I bought the frame for £170 and the rear slick for £10". What a bargain!! |

Skull Piston carving part 3 - an update
Tommy from GearHedz informs me that the person behind this skull is a Japanese guy by the name of Yoshida. I've looked for more info but found nothing, so if you know better do tell. |
The king of cool
Mr cool Steve McQueen takes a lunch break in the company of Bud Ekins during a 2 day 500 mile race through the Mojave desert shot in the spring of 1963 by John Dominis for a Life Magazine feature. Looks like a man living the life, motorcycles ,leather, oil, beer and cigarettes!! |
this came in the post
Thanks to Jon @ Jon's metal casting who sent me a pair of the new addition to his selection of choice cast parts for Triumphs
After a false start and a bit of experimenting I know Jon is pleased with these and I'm sure you will be.Lovely detail on any bike.Go shop!!

THIS WEEK I HAVE MAINLY BEEN.....
LOOKING AT MODELS AND KITS OF TRIUMPH MACHINES, REVELL SEEM TO HAVE DONE A GOOD LINE
I PARTICULARLY LIKE THIS ONE |
Ratrod posted his on the Model Cars Mag forum TWO MODELER'S VERSIONS. JUST LIKE THE REAL THING START WITH THE SAME AND LET THE IMAGINATION FLOW |
AND THEN I THOUGHT WHAT MIGHT BE THE INSPIRATION?
ignore the girders it's close Both Nostalgia on Wheels & Show & Go have featured Mickey Hall's bike Both great sources of information on all sorts of bike related stuff! |
Not quite but close |
SEEK AND THY SHALL FIND |
in this case on the Jockey Journal ,an apparently bottomless source of knowledge and information! Boots Bleechler's ( great name!!) late 50's low 10's 126.37mph triumph the inspiration for the kit |
